This month, we’ll kick off with a creative writing exercise, led by Jenny Smillie. About the theme: Exquisite Corpse
Where the last word of the last line inspires the next line. Each person gets a piece of paper with a Word on top (Halloween themed) and then they write a poetic line then fold it down leaving only the last word of their line visible, then hand it to someone. Then the next person writes their line based on the last word and so on.
At 6:00 pm, the open mic will begin, where you can hear and be heard. Enjoy original poetry and readings from local artists, or present your writing in a relaxed and nonjudgmental space.
