About this Event
Plasma of Hope is a UK-registered charity supporting individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease and related illnesses. We recognize the daily challenges faced by those with sickle cell, from the difficulty of completing everyday tasks to missing out on life experiences. Our mission is to provide relief and support to alleviate these struggles.
Join us for the launch of a two-year oral history project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This initiative aims to capture and preserve the stories and experiences of individuals living with sickle cell disease across generations. By documenting these personal narratives, we aim to highlight the evolution of treatment and management of this condition over the years.
Through interviews and archival efforts, we will create a comprehensive collection of these important stories, culminating in a dedicated exhibition. Be part of this significant project and help us illuminate the journeys of those affected by sickle cell disease.
