Plants & Pints is back for August, and the great news is that our summer menu is back as well. If you missed out on the Tofu And Chickpea Platter, well, you've got a second chance!This month, our guest will be the mysterious MAGPIE (@magpieactivism). Magpie are an investigation team, who are looking to bring activists together across the South East and offer practical training. Magpie has a strong emphasis on inclusivity, particularly on enabling working class activists, in a movement which is often dominated by middle class voices.
As usual our social event is completely free of charge, but if you wish to order food we have an amazing 100% vegan menu available. Please mark yourself as 'going' if you're intending to come along, as it helps us to plan (you'll be contacted before the event for your food pre-order). Although the social is an evening event, the full vegan menu will be available from midday.
Children are also welcome to attend, with no curfew time, and there will be some kid-friendly menu options. This is also a dog friendly venue, so please feel free to bring your doggie companions along.
PAY-IT-FORWARD: we trialled a pay-it-forward scheme at our first couple of events, so we're bringing it back! We want this event to be accessible as possible, so the idea is that guests can donate a £5 or £10 token to the pot, which will then be available for anyone to use to buy food or drink on the night. This is because we recognise that there are vegans in our community for whom even dining out once a month is beyond their financial means.
