Speaker Bio: Don Mahoney is the Owner and Chief Distiller at Copperglen Still Works in Kennett Square, PA. A dual-degree engineer from Penn State and Purdue, Don began his career as a process control engineer with the DuPont company and has spent the better part of his 35-year career serving the chemical industry. During this time, Don spent nearly a decade building a distillation and chemical process simulation software business, and six years leading the chemical industry business unit of the software giant, SAP. Back in 2000, Don published his first university level textbook on distillation and chemical process control with John Wiley & Sons publishers. Inspired by his love of travel, a long-standing passion for fine spirits, and many years of distillation expertise, Don decided to channel his passions and knowledge into a craft distilling business serving the local restaurants, bars, and markets in Kennett Square and its surrounding communities.
