About this Event
Join the Forestry Commission, Severn Trent Water and Heartwood Community Forest to find out more about the opportunities for tree planting: The benefits of trees to your business and the grants available to help.
We will be visiting part of a 15 ha woodland creation site at Carsington Water which forms part of Severn Trent’s Legacy Forest Project. The project aims to off-set the carbon produced by the 2020 Commonwealth Games by creating new woodland which will be registered under the Woodland Carbon Code and managed using UKFS principles. The site was created using the help of the Forestry Commission’s EWCO and planting was finished in December 2024.
