Planting Country: Restoring What Belongs7 – 8 pm, Tuesday, 16 September 2025

The Urban Ripple Native Habitat Restoration Workshop is for Urban Ripple site leaders, Landcare group members, and tree-planting volunteers.
The short presentations will focus on:
· Identifying the plants that originally existed on local properties; and
· Using the Corangamite Management Catchment Authority NRM planning portal Floristic Mapping Units (FMUs) and the new Bunanyung Native Habitat Restoration Guide.
Program:
· Introduction: Mr Geoff Howard, Chair, Bunanyung Landscape Alliance, and Ms Kate Martin Urban Ripple Project Officer
· What are Floristic Mapping Units (FMUs): Mr Tim D’Ombrain, FMU developer, Sci Link Pty Ltd.
· Using the Habitat Restoration Guide on local properties: Mr Bob Hartmann, Nature’s Stewards Program
· Sourcing and matching plants to revegetation sites: Ms Gillian Armstrong, Wine Barrels Banksias Nursery.
