The summer session of the Weedy Wednesday Materia Medica series continues with Plantain (Plantago spp). Plantain is another very common weedy medicinal plant that can be used in several different ways for numerous issues. We will compare three different species of Plantain that can be found in our area (including a native one). Plant identification, wildcrafting and medicine-making tips will be shared, and I will demonstrate making a plantain poultice. Pre-registration is required. $25 fee includes a handout with recipes and herbal tea. *Please note my cancellation policy below.*Materia Medica is a term that refers to the materials used in medicine (plants!) as well as a notebook or herbarium with pressed plant samples or botanical drawings and information on the individual plants. Studying plants one plant at a time in a thorough manner is a wonderful way to learn about herbs without getting overwhelmed.
*Cancellation policy: In the event that I need to cancel a class, all fees will be refunded, or you can choose to apply the fee to a future class. There are no refunds for missed classes, so please keep that in mind when registering. If you are not able to attend, you can transfer your registration to a friend or family member to take your place, please let me know prior to class.
