April is generally considered a great time to plant your perennials as the threat of frost has usually passed and soil temperatures are warm enough for most plants to establish themselves well making it a good window to introduce new perennials to your garden.
Unlike annuals perennials are a one-time purchase that pays you back for years making them a great economic choice for gardeners on a budget. Perennials come back every year so you don't need to replant them each spring. Our nonprofit organization DFOWW Incorporated is hosting a free indoor plant pop-up fundraiser sale on Saturday April 5 2025 from 11:30pm – 3:30pm. Free catered lunch from Maggiano’s will be served to anyone who makes a minimum 2 plant purchase. In addition if you buy 2 plants you also get a 3rd plant free.

Plant prices range from $15 to $40 depending on size and selection type. This is a kid-friendly event so bring the family.
