Sunday March 30, 12-3pm
Learn techniques for plant propagation and take a few plants home from Arlington Garden at this workshop offered in collaboration with and . We’ll start with a guided garden walk from Arlington Garden’s capri kasai where you’ll learn about the best plant options for stem and pup propagation (at least those growing in the garden right now) and catch a glimpse of the phenotype of your future plant (aka what it looks like). Then join us at stations guiding you through three methods of plant propagation–seed, cutting, and pup propagation–for hands-on guidance and learning from Sustainable Little Tokyo, Artemisia Nursery, and Arlington Garden staff.
Capacity is limited to 30 people.
Tools and gloves will be provided during the workshop or you are welcome to bring some. This workshop is part of AG’s Post Fire Series of programs to help support community recovery and healing following the January fires.
