Nutrition can be confusing! In this foundation class, we will discuss the benefits of a plant-based diet, the plant-based food pyramid, macronutrients, and what to eat versus what should be avoided. We will compare and contrast a plant-based diet with the standard Western diet. Learn how easy it is to achieve optimum nutrition from a plant-based diet. While not a weight-loss diet where you need to count calories, fat grams, or carbohydrates, you will learn how a plant-based diet can help you achieve and maintain your ideal weight.
