Register to attend. Maximum: 20Plants know how to multiply! Three years later, that small plant could be 10 times larger! We’ll subtract, through division, and give you a way to add plants to other locations in your landscape, or share with a neighbor! Following a tour of PPRV’s native garden, Alisa will explain the different types of native perennials and demonstrate how to easily and safely divide them. Take home a newly divided plant!
This is a hands-on workshop, outside. Attendees will work on dividing two or three plants on tables set up under canopies.
Bring a snack, beverage, hat, tools, gloves, notebook, camera, and box or bucket for transporting your newly divided plants.
About Alisa: Growing up in western Washington, Alisa always had an affinity for gardening. At a nursery where she was working, she was introduced to Landscape Architecture and knew this was what she was supposed to do. Upon graduating, Alisa began working for Washington State DOT. Over 17 years, she designed planting plans for 75 projects - roadside restoration following construction, roundabout plantings, wetland mitigation projects, and her favorite, streambank mitigation. Upon retiring, Alisa and her husband purchased 5 acres, where she grows plants while restoring their property.
