The planting season is nearly upon us. This year, like many other environmental groups, we’ve had trouble accessing enough of the specific stock we require (e.g. local provenance, Banksia sessilis and Hakea prostrata). At the moment we only have 350 plants which will be used to infill our previous plantings along Blackwood Ave, which won’t take long, but the Blackwood bushland also desperately needs a bit of a clean-up. Please join us on May 11th to Plant (tubestock) and Pick (up rubbish):
Time: Saturday May 11th, 9am - noon
Place: Blackwood Ave. Meet near the Ahern St intersection
Bring: Closed shoes, water, sun protection or raingear (if needed), gloves. Stay home if you are not well.
Afterwards: Morning tea will be provided mid-morning.
