You're invited to an event celebrating the contribution of Distinguish Prof. Billie Giles-Corti
About this Event

Distinguished Professor Billie Giles-Corti has been a leader in health and urban planning for several decades making a real impact for change through advocacy, policy and research. Billie has led the RMIT Centre for Urban Research Healthy and Liveable Cities Research Lab since 2017, building on the success in other roles that have exposed urban planners, public health advocates and researchers in a range of fields to each other.

Billie will be retiring from this leadership role at the end of 2022. While she will be maintaining her links to policy and academic research, we feel it is timely to reflect on the progress of healthy cities planning over the past 25 years, and consider the future challenges of this important agenda for Australia’s cities and regions.

Please join us in a panel discussion on Wednesday 12th October at 5:30pm to consider these important issues. This will be followed by an opportunity to network and reflect on the contribution of Distinguished Professor Billie Giles-Corti over refreshments at the Oxford Scholar.

Panel discussions will be held at RMIT in Building 80 Level 2 Room 7.
