Did you know that only 11% of the craters on the planet Mercury are named after women? And for the moon and Mars that drops to only 2%!
We’re supporting research and gathering data on a range of diversities to investigate representation across the solar system. We’re looking into who is overrepresented, underrepresented and missing entirely from the naming system in our solar system – and we need your help!
Along with The Open University, we’re hosting a ‘Planetary Hackathon’ on Sat 27 & Sun 28 April 10am-4pm. Join us online or at Pervasive Media Studio in the Watershed (Sunday only).
Come along and help us find out who is, and isn’t, represented in space - please note this event is only in person on Sunday, and online Saturday and Sunday.
If you are joining us in person then please bring a laptop with you. Please still get in touch if this would be an issue!
Email Gemma ([email protected]) to sign up and get more details.
