About this Event
Organised by Planet South Bank and experienced forager Carl Wain, this is the next in a series of Foraging Walks in York.
This time we will be exploring the foraging possibilities of Fulford Ings, a nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The walk will be between one to one and a half hours. For those that wish to meet up afterwards, we will be going to the Winning Post pub on Bishopthorpe Road (refreshments not funded by Planet South Bank).
Meet by 2pm at the seats by the Millennium Bridge, on the Rowntree Park side of the river.
Places are limited to 25 people so that everyone has the opportunity to hear and join in with the discussions. If there are no tickets left, see the dates later in the year (below).
Tickets are entirely free.
Dogs welcome, no age restriction - children welcome. Please bear in mind that we will be walking off-path.
As the seasons change, so do the plants and those that are available to eat, so having the opportunity to walk through the seasons is a great way to get closer to nature.
Future dates in 2024 are the last Sunday of each month, at 2pm: 28 July, Sunday 25th August and Sunday 29th September. To receive details of the Eventbrite sign-up for these walks, please sign-up for updates at https://planetsouthbank.org.uk/subscribe-for-updates/
