IDEA: Let’s explore MacBeth by ripping the mask off the murderous King and Queen – throughout time, the worst tyrants and political monsters didn’t hide who they were – Emperor Caligula, Napoleon, Hitler to African warlords and on. They said the quiet part out-loud. As does Lady MacBeth: “What need we fear who knows it, when none can call our power to account?”
“Absolute power corrupts absolutely” said the 19th century British politician Lord Acton. But that same thought has been expressed throughout human history in various forms. Let's explore...
