Do you like pizza? Are you incredibly bored and looking for something to do this Saturday? Look no further than this event invitation!What's happening:
We have been incredibly blessed with a community that has offered to help us rebuild the lower level of our house after the freak accident flood last year that destroyed every room down there. They hope to get started on it by November 29th (the weekend right after Thanksgiving) and have it finished by Christmas, which is amazing... but to make this happen, we'll need to organize everything downstairs and get it out of the way and into storage somewhere so that people can work.
Why we're asking:
With Diana's birthday coming up in a couple of weeks and other important events that we cannot get out of, this project is way bigger than just the two of us, especially when we've got full-time jobs and two kids who demand attention. So we need to put on our humble hats and ask for help (which is hard, but needs to be done to make it easier for those rebuilding for us).
What you can expect:
This week I will be creating a list of everything that needs to be done, so that come Saturday it will be easy to direct anyone that shows up. The task list may include things like putting loose items into boxes for storage, transporting things to storage, or getting rid of things that should be considered trash. There may even be some things we just want to give away rather than deal with, so you could possibly walk out with something new! Choose something on the list and we'll go from there! Many hands make light work, so if a lot of people show up we can hopefully get everything done quickly.
If you cannot make it on Saturday, no worries! We love you and understand this is last-minute. But if you can, we will provide music and pizza and maybe some other treats to hopefully make the experience worth your while.
