How does it all work?
Every Democratic candidate needs signatures from local Democrats on their nominating petitions to earn their spot on the 2026 primary ballot. From the Governor of Pennsylvania to our candidates to represent us in the U.S. House of Representatives; from a candidate to represent us in the PA House of Representatives to candidates to represent local Democrats in every single precinct in the county, all the candidates need to meet their threshold of signatures to get on the ballot.

Are you trying to get on the ballot this year? Maybe you should be!
Every single seat for the Columbia County Democratic Committee is on the primary ballot this year. We’ve made huge strides in the last four years, help keep that progress going strong by running to serve on the Columbia County Democratic Committee in the next term! You only need 10 signatures from registered Democrats in your precinct to get on the ballot, and we'll be happy to get you a list and help you through the process!
*Note for our friends in the neighboring counties: We’ll also have some petitions available for our surrounding counties!
