Pizza and Prevention: Where conversations & connections start!Pizza and Prevention is a peer-to-peer youth suicide prevention program designed to normalize conversations about mental health and understand the role that teens can play in suicide prevention. Using Seize The Awkward materials and guided dialogue activities, teens will learn how to check in on friends, recognize warning signs, support peers, and start important conversations when something feels off, even when starting the conversation feels a little awkward.
During the youth session, parents and caregivers will attend their own guided workshop happening at the same time. This session will provide practical tools for how to talk with your teen about mental health, how to talk about suicide and suicide loss with care, how to respond if your teen opens up about struggling, and how to create a home environment where feelings are safe, welcomed, and supported.
Everyone ends the night with pizza, connection, and real conversations that can save lives.
