The 2023-24 season of the Pittsburgh Philharmonic concludes with music of incredible freshness originality and virtuosity that attempts to answer the question: What does Spring sound like? Come hear a blooming garden in Lili Boulanger’s D’un Matin de Printemps (of a spring morning) listen to Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 in B-flat Major and experience a vast expanse of fresh air in Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring. This concert also features the winner of the 2024 Lorraine Lippert Concerto Competition as well as the winner of the 2024 Pittsburgh Philharmonic Young Composers’ Competition.
