Pitt Roots showcases some of the finest emerging folk singer-songwriters in Edinburgh. Headliners Eve Simpson and Dara Dubh are regular collaborators, blending authentic vocals with harp and guitar. Providing support is Tomass Mencis with his melancholic, enchanting songwriting, and Granton local singer / songwriter, Ace, all demonstrating what the next generation of Scottish modern folk musicians have to offer. The night is programmed by Dara with support from Granton Youth. Dara is making waves across the music industry with her unique style of dynamic indie-pop harp playing. Dara recently performed to a sold out audience at Sneaky Pete’s, and earned ‘single of the week’ for ‘Bubble Town’ on BBC Radio Scotland. Dara grew up surrounded by folk music and her lineup is a reflection of her passion for grass roots folk.
