OnSight Firearms Training presents:PISTOL SHOOTING ON THE MOVE SUNDAY OCTOBER 27, 2024.9:30am to 4:00pm.Westchester County Blue Mountain Sportsman’s Center Police Ranges - 183 Watch Hill Rd, Cortlandt Manor, NY.$175.00 There is a $75 deposit - $100 due on day of in CASH.All students must have their NY pistol permit.This is a multifaceted class designed to introduce the intermediate shooter to the various aspects of efficient, effective and accurate pistol shooting fundamentals and foundational skills while moving. Topics covered will be moving and shooting, shooting and moving, shooting while on the move, cover and concealment, communication skills with a partner and much move.Start time is 9:00am. Students are expected to arrive no later than 8:45am for set up and range safety briefing.COURSE BREAKDOWN:- Range orientation- Firearms safety- Shooting fundamentals (grip, stance, breath control, trigger control, hold control, sight picture and sight alignment, follow through).- Warm-up drills- Ready positions- Reloading techniques and malfunction clearance drills- Dry fire / live fire drills.- Strong hand and weak hand shooting.- Accuracy and speed development drills.- Engaging multiple targets.- Gear discussion/selection.- Alternate shooting positions- Q & AEQUIPMENT LIST:-Quality functional semi-automatic pistol-4 magazines minimum -Minimum of 500 rounds of brass cased ammunition (no steel cased ammunition)-Quality kydex holster —PLEASE NO flimsy nylon or cloth holsters. NO BLACKHAWK SERPA holsters. We recommend holsters from Dark Star Gear, Raven Concealment, Blackpoint Tactical, Black Center Tactical, C&G Holsters & G-Code.-Magazine or loading device pouches / magazine carrier, etc.-Ammunition dump pouch (optional) -Sturdy belt at least 1.5” wide -Footwear suitable for rapid movement and turning with good ankle support. -Clothing suitable for training in any weather – long pants – long sleeve shirt, hoodie or jacket for cold weather.-Wraparound eyewear, polycarbonate lenses or non-shattering prescription glasses -Earmuffs and earplugs-Notebook and pen for note taking-Humble willing to learn attitudeFor more information or questions please contact: [email protected]ADDITIONAL INFO:This course is limited to 17 students only.
