Pipes on the River: Sacred Harp Festival

Trinity Musicians are busy preparing a “Sacred Harp Festival”. The music of the Sacred Harp (1844) and Southern Harmony (1835) are considered the true foundations of American Hymnody.  This program will utilize “Shaped Note” Singing by a choir along with organists Jerrold Tidwell Howard Wolvington Bill Beeson and Howard Bennett who will play selections from that genre on Trinity’s mighty Cassavant organ. 

The program will last approximately 40 minutes and is free to all attending. Donations are encouraged.
