More details of our next concert featuring Norma the Dunedin Town Hall Organ, on Sunday 15 Feb at 3pm:Jeremy Woodside (organ) with Lana Law (saxophones)
Two of Christchurch’s finest musicians have teamed up to perform a lively programme featuring a wide range of musical styles for the unusual combination of organ and saxophone. Lana will be performing alternately on alto and tenor saxophone, and the pairing of the expressive and haunting saxophone with the wide variety of colour and sustained power of Norma the organ promises a true feast for the ears. Their programme includes arrangements of familiar works by Bach, Faure and Duke Ellington and also a number of original works for this special combination by contemporary New Zealanders, including Chris Adams, John Rimmer and David Hamilton.
Admission by donation at the door.
