<h4>Meet on the traffic island (where the Garden of Remembrance is located) on Abington Square. Take care crossing the road to the traffic island.</h4><h4>The walk starts promptly at 11.00am. We suggest you arrive for 10.50am</h4><h4>We will go at a leisurely pace covering about 1 mile over the fully accessible route on public pedestrian footpaths.</h4><h4>
</h4><h4>We will visit places connected with key people and events in the early history of socialism and trade unionism in Northampton, including the creation of Northampton Labour Party, and the divisions created by the First World War.</h4><h4>
</h4><h4>The walk ends at 12.00noon back where we started.</h4><h4>
