El Paso Inc. began publishing in September of 1995 and is El Paso's premier weekly business and professional community media source. Today, still locally owned and operated by the family, distribute over 8,000 copies in print throughout the city and manage their online publishing. As times change, the company continues to look towards the future.
Ellie Fenton, was board and raised in Mexico City, recieved her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Northwestern University. Tom and Ellie met in Mexico City and moved together to El Paso in 1970 where both of them took on positions in education. Ellie taught accounting at International Business College and Tom became a journalism instructor at the University of Texas El Paso. Today she is the controller for El Paso Inc and PDX Printing.
Tom received his Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of the Americas in Mexico City and his Master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He spent 15 years as a foreign correspondent and overseas bureau chief for the Associated Press. Tom left The Associated Press in Germany to become the editor, publisher, and president of the El Paso Times where he stayed from 1986-1993.
