The Pinwheel Festival protects children from abuse and neglect by showcasing helpful community organizations including the library and its many resources for families. The festival features book giveaways rock painting face painting children's shows a fire truck demonstration and the "planting" of pinwheels in front of the library.
This event held in partnership with a multitude of area organizations working with the Children's Services Council's Broward AWARE! campaign offers families fun activities while obtaining material related to child safety and abuse prevention.
Everyone is invited to "plant" a pinwheel at the library to show support of child safety and well-being in Broward County.
