While Tampa Bay is known as a pet-friendly community, high animal populations lead to challenges such as abandonment, neglect, overbreeding, and disease. The Humane Society of Tampa Bay addresses these issues through education, medical care, and Trap/Neuter programs. Following its merger with Humane Society Pinellas, HSTB now operates two campuses to better serve local animals and families.
