This unique art class is designed for anyone who wants to enjoy special bonding time with their babies while crafting stunning, Instagrammable projects. Each session offers an opportunity to work on stylish and trendy crafts that you and your little one can cherish forever.

What to Expect: During each class, you'll be guided through the steps to create beautiful, on-trend crafts. From personalised keepsakes like handprint canvases and footprint ornaments to adorable nursery decor and baby milestone art, every project is carefully curated to be both baby-friendly and visually stunning. The class is designed to accommodate little hands and feet, making it easy for families to create something beautiful together.

Class Details:

• Duration: 1.5 hours per session 6 week block
• Materials: All crafting supplies are provided. Just bring your creativity and your little one!
• What to Wear: Comfortable, casual clothes that can handle a little paint.
• Where: Classes are held in the Lady Hertford Suite which is accessed via the courtyard opposite the amphitheatre. There is a pram park just inside the panelled glass doors and the classroom is to the right.
• Travel: Parking: There are many car parks at Temple Newsam, the closest is a pay and display just beside the house (other car parks are free) all are a walk so bringing a carrier and/or pram is essential.

Your Instructor

Hannah Merrill is a passionate and accomplished artist (and new mother) with over 20 years of experience in painting and art education. When Hannah was on maternity leave, she struggled to find classes and activities where she felt like the customer. After countless sensory play sessions and children’s sing-alongs, she found herself longing for a space where she could do something just for herself—without leaving her baby behind. This experience inspired her to create these baby crafting classes, adding a unique touch to her teaching repertoire. Now, she’s bringing you a place where you can enjoy some well-deserved "me time" while still having your little one by your side.

As an art instructor, Hannah brings a warm, encouraging, and patient approach to teaching. She has been guiding students of all levels—from complete beginners to seasoned artists—through the creative process for over 20 years. Hannah's classes are known for being fun, casual, inspiring, with a focus on helping each student find their unique artistic voice.

Hannah believes that everyone has the potential to create beautiful art, and is committed to making painting accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for all who join her classes.
