PINOLE EARTH WALKOn Saturday, April 20th at 9am we will take a walking pledge to protect the planet as a community. Come out and meet your neighbors, spend time with family, get some fresh air, or bring Fido for a walk! The walking path will follow the Pinole Creek and loop around Pinole Shore on the Bay Trail. Snacks and refreshments will be provided at the finish line, and there will be kids' activities and local environmental organizations for you to connect with at Fernandez Park. FREE event. All are welcome. The first 50 people to register win an eco-friendly gift!

Earth Day Challenge
Participate in our Earth Day Challenge to demonstrate your stewardship of the planet. All participants who complete any challenge and bring a form of proof to the City of Pinole booth at the Pinole Earth Walk event will receive a small prize and be entered in our raffle to win amazing eco-prizes! Complete any one (or more!) of the following challenges:
-Walk or bike instead of driving
-Consume less water
-Repurpose instead of dispose
-Buy local produce
-Make a sustainable art craft
-Thrift instead of buying new
-Plant a native plant
-Participate in a community clean-up
-Green home upgrade
-Cook or order a vegan meal
-Or, create your own challenge!
Student Art Contest
The City of Pinole's Earth Day Student Art Contest is open to all Pinole students. Depict nature found in Pinole in any visual art form: painting, drawing, photography, collage, sculpting, etc. Entries must use upcycled, recycled, or otherwise sustainable supplies (this does not apply to photography). Don't forget to submit a word description with your sustainable art piece to tell us all about your inspiration and what you want to convey. Winners can win up to $100 in Pinole Perks gift cards! Register by April 12th.
All student art will be on display at Fernandez Park during the Pinole Earth Walk event. Winners' art will be displayed in City Hall.
