Anniversary Pink Tea in the Crystal Ballroom at the Fairmont Palliser Hotel, Calgary.
Celebrate ‘Persons’ Day with us at this elegant afternoon to remember, featuring remarkable
Canadians who have made significant contributions toward equality and Reconciliation. We
invite you to gather with recipients of the Governor General’s Persons Awards and other
dignitaries and achievers who share a belief in a Canada where we are all persons!
Make history with us as we celebrate the 95th Anniversary of the Famous 5 and their historic
‘Persons’ Case verdict – the first international declaration of equality! This legal victory
allowed women the opportunity to serve in the Senate of Canada and to fully participate in all
aspects of government.
The spectacular Crystal Ballroom is one of only four places the Famous 5 were all together!
Historically, Pink Teas were secret planning events held by women organizing to secure the
right to vote and seek elected office. The Famous 5 Foundation proudly continues the tradition
of modern Pink Teas to celebrate the Famous 5, Canada’s democratic champions, and to
inspire the next generation of women and girls to be leaders, to be nation builders!
