Join us on Saturday May 10th, 2025, from 10am to 2pm to celebrate birds at the Osprey Wilds Environmental Learning Center, located on beautiful Grindstone Lake in Sandstone Minnesota.The theme of World Migratory Bird Day this year is creating bird friendly cities and communities. As communities expand, migratory birds face growing challenges. Native habitats shrink, noise and light pollution escalate, and domestic pets disturb and prey on a variety of species. We can all take steps to protect migratory birds that visit our communities—whether they are nesting, overwintering, or stopping to rest and refuel along their incredible journeys.
Tour conservation-based booths and displays, meet live birds, and participate in fun crafts & activities related to birds. Wear a sturdy pair of shoes and bring binoculars if you have them. This event is free and open to all.
