Pil Ulheim (he/him) is an artist and activist from Ålesund, currently in his first year at KiT. Being a trans non-binary person, his practice is dedicated to amplifying and caring for the voices of his community, and creating space for trans people to feel represented. Pil has a background in illustration, and currently works in relational aesthetics!«Pils Salong: Blunk» is a new take on an ongoing project he started a year ago, a free hairsalon! Being alternative and genderqueer, Pil has had many uncomfortable encounters in hair salons. With everything from people not accepting his identity or not understanding alternative hair wishes, he learned to cut his own hair. After realizing how many other people share his experiences, he decided to take matters into his own hands and offer an alternative and free option.
About a year and 60 haircuts later, Pil is opening his shop in Blunk! Come take a look, and maybe leave a bit more fresh than when you entered ✨
