Pillbox Hats with Marcy Frank!

Learn to make the classic “Jackie O” pillbox hat with Marcy Frank, on Saturday August 21 from 12-6pm.
In this class you will cover a pillbox style foundation with fashion fabric, then
personalize it with trimmings—just like the ones made famous by fashion icon Jackie Kennedy Onassis! Using a combination of hand sewing and glue, you will select your fabric, cut it out, and apply it to the frame. This takes patience and basic hand sewing skills, but your time will be well rewarded.
The pillbox hat was popularized in the 1950’s and 1960’s but continues to be a best seller. This classic brimless hat has so many possibilities, and you are encouraged to get creative! The Hattery will provide all the materials you need, but you are welcome to bring your own fashion fabric and trimmings if you wish. Veiling will be made available for purchase, if desired.
Class duration: 8 hrs
Class size: Maximum 6 students
