Join the Frassati Fellowship of NYC on a pilgrimage to Italy in 2025. We will visit Florence and Assisi before arriving in Rome to soak in the graces of the Jubilee year and attend the canonization Mass of Pier Giorgio Frassati. We will be accompanied by priests from the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.
The cost will be $1,750 per person, excluding flights. This includes all lodging, some meals, ground transportation, travel guides, and daily Mass with priests who will be accompanying us.
You will pay a $500 deposit now, and we will follow up to coordinate the remainder of the payment for those who are registered.
We will be visiting three cities during our pilgrimage:
Florence: A city rich in world-renowned art and architecture, where we will learn about the history of the Italian Renaissance and key historical figures who were inspirations to Pier Giorgio Frassati, including Girolamo Savonarola and Michelangelo.
Assisi: The home of Saints Francis and Clare, Assisi is a hilltop town enveloped in a sense of sacred peace. It will be particularly special for us to visit Assisi accompanied by Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.
Rome: The Eternal City, filled with the treasures of the Church both past and present. We will be visiting during the Jubilee year, which will allow us to take advantage of special graces by visiting the Holy Doors and joining with many other pilgrims in prayer. Our journey will culminate with the canonization Mass of our beloved patron, Pier Giorgio Frassati.
Itinerary:
Sunday, July 27, 2025: Pilgrimage begins in Florence. Check in to Casa per Ferie Regina del Santo Rosario.
Monday, July 28, 2025: Tour Florence. Overnight at Casa per Ferie Regina del Santo Rosario.
Tuesday, July 29, 2025: Leave Florence and travel to Assisi. Check in to Casa di Accoglienza Sant’Antonio.
Wednesday, July 30, 2025: Tour Assisi. Overnight at Casa di Accoglienza Sant’Antonio.
Thursday, July 31, 2025: Leave Assisi and travel to Rome. Check in to Casa Santa Lucia Filippini.
Friday, August 1, 2025: Tour Rome. Overnight at Casa Santa Lucia Filippini.
Saturday, August 2, 2025: Tour Rome. Overnight at Casa Santa Lucia Filippini.
Sunday, August 3, 2025: Attend canonization Mass of Pier Giorgio Frassati. Overnight at Casa Santa Lucia Filippini.
Monday, August 4, 2025: Check out of Casa Santa Lucia Filippini. Pilgrimage comes to an end.
A note on travel: Pilgrims will have to book their flights separately, but we will provide recommended flights to consider for all registered pilgrims. The pilgrimage will begin in Florence and end in Rome. For those who may want to extend their trip for personal travel or find a different flight, we will provide a meeting time and place in Florence where the official Frassati pilgrimage will begin.
