Pilates is suitable for all levels. During this class we work through a series of mat based Pilates exercises to help strengthen the whole body, improve posture and alignment whilst helping to increase flexibility.We take the time to focus on correct technique with precise movements whilst also connecting your movement to your breath, this helps to deepen the mind body connection which is integral within Pilates.
In my classes at Transcend we work with the 6 main Principles of Pilates
Concentration - You should focus on your entire body to ensure each movement is completely smooth
Control - Every exercise should be performed with control
Core - All movement within Pilates begins from your centre (core)
Flow - Exercises are intended to flow into each other helping to build strength & stamina
Precision - Precise movements / with a focus on correct technique
Breath - Connecting the breath to the movement
