PIKEVILLE PRIDE 2025!

Pikeville Pride/Big Sandy Safe Zone, Inc. is proud to host our SIXTH annual Pride celebration in eastern Kentucky. As always, our event is open to the public and FREE for attendees.

Pikeville Pride is designed to be good for all-ages and a happy, fun environment. The purpose of this event is to celebrate our LGBTQ+ community and uplift our accomplishments while acknowledging there is more work to be done in fighting for equity and equality.

This year's event is scheduled to begin at approximately 12PM and end at 7PM EST. This event features live performances including musical acts and drag, food and drink vendors, craft and artistan vendors, non-profit and informational booths, local and regional art, and more. Our previous event drew a crowd of 2,521 attendees in beautiful downtown Pikeville and we anticipate an even larger crowd this year!

General admission will be available online throughout the duration of our event. All attendees will be required to have a ticket to enter the plaza area where the Mountain Top Media Stage is located. We highly encourage all attendees to reserve their tickets NOW to our upcoming event as we will not allow any attendees to enter the plaza area without scanning a ticket - NO EXCEPTIONS. This is to ensure the safety and security of our event and attendees and to also help organizers keep track of the number of attendees. Admission also includes access to the festival area on Main Street extending to Division Street.

Attendees of the event agree to abide by the rules and regulations as laid out by Pikeville Pride/Big Sandy Safe Zone. Failure to abide by the rules and regulations may result in the forfeiture of ticket(s) and ejection from the premises.

• Weapons of any type are prohibited, including firearms, knives, electrical weapons chemical weapons or other items that could be considered weapons.
• Glass bottles or opened bottles containing liquids are prohibited.
• Large backpacks and totes are prohibited. Clear backpacks are acceptable and are subject to search by Pikeville Pride. Small purses and/or small personal bags are acceptable and are subject to search by Pikeville Pride. Medical bags, childcare bags, and strollers are acceptable.
• Poles, sticks, clubs, baseball or softball bats, golf clubs, signage on poles, etc. that could be used as a weapon are prohibited.
• Masks, including gas masks or any other face covering that is not for health or religious purposes are prohibited. Medical face masks/shields for COVID-19 precautions are acceptable.
• Torches, lanterns, fireworks or any other device that uses fire or fuel is prohibited.
• Aerosols, spray cans, or pressurized containers are prohibited.
• Laser pointers, flashlights or other devices that can be used to direct light into eyes or faces are prohibited.
• Animals, except service animals, are prohibited inside plaza area.
• Horns, noisemakers, or any amplified sound equipment devices are prohibited.
• Other items not listed that may be determined to be a potential safety hazard as outlined by Pikeville Pride/Appalachian Wireless Arena/City of Pikeville are prohibited. Event organizers reserve the right to request the attendee to place the item(s) in question back in their car or forfeit it before entry at the security checkpoint.

This event is neither endorsed nor sponsored by the Appalachian Wireless Arena, the City of Pikeville, or any other organization/governmental agency.

Parking is available downtown in the public parking garage located on the corner of Huffman Avenue and Hambley Boulevard. Parking spots may also available on the street downtown where designated. Please note: Main Street in downtown Pikeville will be CLOSED to vehicular traffic starting at 9AM on 9/27/2025 to allow set-up for vendors at the festival. Please keep this in mind when choosing parking in town.
