Now Wave presents Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs at Future Yard on Wednesday 9th April 2025, returning to Birkenhead for the first time since headlining our Future Now festival in 2022.Imbued with a raw, primal fusion of heavy metal, stoner rock, and punk energy, Pigsx7 are known for their crushing guitar tones, thunderous drums, and vocalist Matt Baty’s intense, gritty shouts – expect a relentless journey into a distorted, psychedelic chaos.
They’re back for 2025 with ‘Detroit‘ – the first taste of new material from the Pigs pen since February 2023’s ‘Land of Sleeper’ LP release. ‘Detroit’ is a huge slab of striking noise rock about a hideous man with even worse behaviours. Says band bellower Baty on the track: “Detroit reflects on the worst manifestations of male jealousy and resentment, and the ways in which the deliberate avoidance of accountability can lead to deflecting responsibility in exchange for blaming external forces like fate or God for perceived injustice”.
