Ease on down to The #BestBackyard as we kick off our Piedmont Summer Movie Series with a Juneteenth Celebration! This year we're celebrating the Arts that have contributed to the Culture and Black Excellence, along with a Vendor Village, food trucks, giveaways, raffles, and activities the entire family can enjoy!

?9:00pm: The Wiz
24-year-old kindergarten teacher Dorothy, born, raised, and still working in Harlem, is celebrating Thanksgiving with her extended family, but she doesn't seem to be thankful for much. She lives a sheltered life and is shy and unfulfilled. When she gets caught in a snowstorm while chasing her dog Toto, they're transported to the mysterious Land of Oz, where she's informed that the only way she can find her way home is through the assistance of the powerful wizard in the Emerald City. As she searches for him by easing down the Yellow Brick Road, she befriends some creatures who face problems in their lives. In their quest to find the wizard, they also face Evillene, the equally evil sister of Evermean, the wicked witch whom Dorothy inadvertently killed when she arrived in Oz; Evillene might be their biggest obstacle.
✨Be sure to stick around after the movie for a laser light show on the side of Mercedes-Benz Stadium to close out the celebration! ?

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO ATTEND?
All ages are welcome! Registration is required for each guest.
HOW MANY TICKETS CAN I REQUEST?
You must be at least 18 years old to register for tickets. Each adult can register up to 4 guests. Tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE. The guest who registers and requests a ticket MUST be in attendance for their guests to attend.
WHERE DO I PARK?
Parking will be available for . We recommend using Waze to navigate to the parking decks and lots. We recommend purchasing in advance as there will be other events happening in the area.
HOW DO I GET TO THE BACKYARD?
Our address is 1 Backyard Way, Atlanta, GA 30313
For the event, please enter the space at Soccer Ball Plaza by Gate 1. Gate 1 is the entrance off of Northside Drive. There will be NO access on Magnolia Drive from the Orange Deck or below the entrance bridge.
Rideshare: Guests are encouraged to arrive at the Vine City MARTA Station and use the crosswalk or pedestrian bridge to walk across Northside Drive to Gate 1.
MARTA: The preferred station for arrival and departure is the Vine City Station. This station will drop you off just across the street from Gate 1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Use the crosswalk or pedestrian bridge at Northside Drive.
CAN I BRING MY OWN CHAIRS?
YES! We have space in front of the movie screen for guests to set up their lawn chairs and/or blankets. Tents and large umbrellas are NOT permitted.
WILL CONCESSIONS BE AVAILABLE?
Yes, food trucks will be available for sale on-site. We will have a range of food options including savory and sweet. Guests may also bring their own food and drinks in small or medium-sized coolers. Large coolers and glass containers are not permitted.
ON-SITE GIVEAWAYS
All giveaways distributed on-site are while supplies last on a first-come, first-served basis.
ARE ANIMALS ALLOWED?
Only certified and leashed service animals are permitted in The Home Depot Backyard during events and tailgating.
