Did you know that the true first tea plantation in the Americas was here n Piedmont? It was located along Old Pelzer Road between Grove Station and Bessie Road.
Larry Conant, an esteemed deed and map researcher, and Dr. Anne Peden will be sharing this amazing Piedmont story. Larry has done the research to locate the site from old deeds and maps. Come out and have some fun with us while you hear the story of American Tea that began right here in Piedmont, SC.
For our programs this year we asking for a $5.00 per person donation to offset the cost of program expenses and to help with the restoration and preservation of our 1908 YWCA.
