Picturing Adulthood: Toy Photography Workshop

We have all heard of photography, but what about creating compelling stories through toy photography?

Facilitated by Plastic Singapore, a local hobby group for toy photography enthusiasts, this workshop held at grovve encourages youths transitioning into adulthood to explore what adulthood means to them through the creative use of toys in photography. We invite you to join us for an afternoon of exploration, reflection, and connection at Picturing Adulthood: Toy Photography Workshop 📸

You can expect to:

• Pick up basic smartphone photography skills 🤳🏻
• Explore creative use of toys and props to create compelling visual stories 🧸
• Reflect on ideas of adulthood and understand the variety of support available for youths 💬

🎒Things to Bring: Smartphone with a functioning camera (or any camera you wish to use)

Optional: Your own toy (highly encouraged, but toys will also be provided), jacket (for the air-conditioned venue) and water bottle

This event is brought to you in collaboration with grovve, Singapore’s first integrated wellness centre designed with youths, for youths (aged 13 to 25) and their caregivers. grovve is located within *SCAPE and it aims to serve as a youth-friendly space, where youths are empowered to navigate their mental wellness journey, and like-minded youths can form communities to be champions and supporters for mental well-being.

Initiated by NCSS and supported by dedicated and recognised organisations in the youth mental health and social services space, grovve offers well-being activities, mental health screening, triage, and intervention services.
