About this Event
Join us for the second annual Picnic Land event hosted by the Waterfront Parks Foundation!
Picnic Land is a family-friendly event on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 that seeks to set a world record for the longest picnic blanket. Last year more than 400 blankets, laid end to end, set a new US Record, but missed the global one. We had such fun doing it, we are going to try again!
Generously sponsored by Southern Roots Realty, the picnic will feature music by the Urban Gypsies, games, treats, and more. Come enjoy all that our world-famous waterfront park system has to offer.
One registration is good for four people and includes one large, colorful, picnic blanket and souvenir tote bag for $45. Returning guests with a Picnic Land blanket from last year pay a reduced rate of $35 (only Picnic Land blankets are permitted) and still receive this year's souvenir tote bag.
Picnic Land is about more than breaking records. It’s the perfect community builder, where St. Pete residents can gather together and appreciate our 12 continuous downtown waterfront parks. For more than a decade, the Waterfront Parks Foundation has worked to preserve, protect, and promote St. Petersburg’s award-winning waterfront parks system in partnership with the City’s Parks and Recreation Department.
