Beat the heat and drop into the Library for a nostalgic ‘slide night’ showcasing stunning images from the PIX photo archive through the decades. Celebrating the great Summer staycation, this laid-back chat will focus on having fun in the sun – capturing quirky, glamorous and wonderful moments of Australians at play.
Margot Riley is a curator in the Collection Acquisition & Curation Branch of the State Library of NSW. A cultural historian with special interests in art, popular culture, photography and dress, she has curated numerous exhibitions and displays for the Library, including 'Coming Out in the 70s' and 'How's Tricks? Magic in the Golden Age’. Margot is the curator of ‘PIX: The magazine that changed everything (1938-1972)’.
