Introducing our very first Picklefest on 12th July! A collaboration between Delphic Brewing Co, Green Shed Cider & Fermented Reality.We are inviting the people of Newbury to unleash their creativity and enter delicious homemade treats into a competition to crown the ultimate champion, in a number of different categories, including pickles, chutneys, preserves, hot sauce, jam, kimchi, drinks and more!
The event is free to attend.
Entries are £5 per item entered, with some fantastic prizes up for grabs. Bring entries down to the brewery from 11am-2pm on 12th July.
Tasting and judging by the general public from 2pm-5pm with an app to vote for the best in each category.
Categories:
- Pickles (Pickles, Piccalilli, Chutney, etc.)
- Hot Sauces
- Drinks (Kombucha, Kvass, Fire Cider, Ginger Beer) (No / very low Alcohol)
- Ferments (Krauts, Kimchi, etc.)
- Jams
- Honey
On the day there will be plenty of local Beer, Cider and Kombucha to drink, live music, delicious street food to enjoy, and a friendly community feel. Whether you're aiming to take home the top prize or just want to soak up the atmosphere with some chips and dips, there will be plenty of fun and foodie treats to enjoy.
