Support the Roseville Police Department: Armored Rescue Vehicle Fundraiser
The Roseville Police Foundation is raising $180,000 to purchase an armored rescue vehicle for the Roseville Police Department. This life-saving vehicle will protect officers and civilians during high-risk incidents like active shooters and dangerous rescues.
Tragic events in Burnsville, Minneapolis, and right here in Roseville have highlighted the urgent need for this resource. In 2022, an active shooter fired over 200 rounds in a residential neighborhood, seriously injuring Officer Ryan Duxbury. His evacuation was dangerous and difficult—this armored vehicle will ensure safer, faster rescues in the future.
Unlike large SWAT vehicles that can take up to 45 minutes to arrive, this bullet-resistant Sprinter van will be deployed instantly by patrol officers, providing critical protection in emergencies.
Chief Erica Scheider emphasizes: “This rescue vehicle is not just for Roseville—it will also be available to assist our surrounding communities in their times of need.”
Why Your Support Matters:
✅ Faster Response: Enables immediate action in critical incidents.
✅ Increased Safety: Protects officers, first responders, and civilians.
✅ Metro-Wide Impact: Available to assist neighboring cities.
✅ Proven Need: Other local agencies are investing in similar vehicles.
We’ve already secured half the funding through private donations—help us raise the remaining $90,000 to reach our goal!
