?What do our clinics include??
?Spook busting obstacle course sessions?
Increase your horse’s confidence and enjoy an hour of fun. This clinic focuses on building trust and bravery through a variety of exciting and engaging obstacles.
?Navigate through a diverse range of obstacles, including bridges, see-saws, balance boards, cowboy curtains, rolling bridges, flags, noodle push, and more.
?Each obstacle is designed to challenge and stimulate your horse in a supportive environment. Learn about thresholds and how to regulate the 'flight or fight' response when it appears.
?Choose to work with your horse in-hand, ridden, or a combination of both to suit your horse’s comfort level and your training goals.
?Young horse sessions?
Tailored specifically for horses under four years old. This session provides a supportive environment where young horses can familiarize themselves with a variety of obstacles while interacting with a small group of peers in a controlled, in-hand setting with no pressure.
This is an opportunity for your young horse to gain exposure to new experiences in a non-structured format - it is not a taught session but more an 'arena hire' to explore the range of obstacles set out, including bridges, see-saws, balance boards, cowboy curtains, rolling bridges, flags, and noodle push, at your own pace.
?You can do as much or as little as you want to.
?Allow your horse to socialize and become accustomed to working alongside other young horses to build confidence and learn proper behavior in a small group setting.
?Sessions are designed to be brief, acknowledging the shorter attention spans and higher energy levels of young horses. Shorter training sessions prevent overstimulation and fatigue, ensuring a positive experience and better retention of learned behaviors whilst reducing the risk of stress and anxiety.
?All sessions for this are in-hand. No riding is permitted for horses under four years old in our clinics, in alignment with our personal commitment to their developmental needs and welfare.
?Trick training sessions?
Discover how trick training can add both fun and practicality to your groundwork routine!
Learn an array of fun and impressive tricks through groundwork, such as bowing, retrieving objects, spin, pedestal, smile and more.
?Each trick is taught with an emphasis on clear communication and positive reinforcement.
?Tricks can also cover practical skills such as parking at the mounting block or strengthening isolated yoga moves such as weight crunches/reverence/mountain goat, which can make your horse’s daily handling easier and benefit then physically.
?Engage in activities that not only challenge your horse but also strengthen your relationship. Trick training can increase trust and cooperation, making your groundwork sessions more enjoyable and effective.
?Receive step-by-step guidance to help you and your horse advance from basic to more complex tricks, depending on your horse’s experience level and training goals.
?Horses should have good foundational groundwork and work quietly inhand to gain the most out of these sessions.
?Private sessions?
Elevate your horsemanship with personalized private sessions tailored to your specific needs and goals.
? Ridden - Improve your riding skills with focused instruction on techniques, communication, and harmony between horse and rider. Tailor your sessions to address specific riding goals or problems.
? Problem solving - Work through specific problems to achieve a more balanced and responsive partnership.
? Trick training - Engage in fun and interactive trick training, enhancing your horse's skills while fostering a positive and enjoyable experience. Learn new tricks and practical skills that can also improve daily interactions.
? Groundwork - Strengthen your horse’s foundation with groundwork exercises that improve responsiveness, trust, and respect.
? Confidence/relationship building- focus on building a stronger bond with your horse through trust-building exercises and confidence-enhancing activities. Enhance your overall relationship for a more understanding partnership.
For those nervous remember:
"Fear starts where control ends - where there is understanding, bravery is no longer a requirement, it's just the natural outcome. Choose correct horsemanship and find answers in the basics."
Join us for a fun day of learning and adventure, and see how much your horse can achieve!
