The Experience:
Imagine an autumn treasure hunt, where shiny chestnuts are hidden beneath the fallen leaves, waiting to be discovered. Much like an Easter egg hunt, you’ll wander through the orchard, gathering chestnuts that have naturally dropped from the trees. The excitement of spotting these glossy gems on the ground makes it a delightful and rewarding adventure for families. Kids love the thrill of the search, and it’s a great way to get outside, enjoy the crisp fall air, and connect with nature!

About Historic Wyoming Farm:
Wyoming Farm is a charming and historic agritourism destination located in Clinton, MD. The farm is known for its pick-your-own chestnut and pawpaw orchards, which are part of a permaculture-inspired food forest designed to work in harmony with nature. The orchards are still young, with the first trees planted in 2016, and the farm continues to grow with around 500 trees currently planted across three acres.
Wyoming Farm also serves as a dynamic event space and is the future home of a nonprofit house museum currently in its early planning stages. This museum will steward the complex history of the land, tracing its story from the indigenous Piscataway people to its time as a tobacco plantation farmed by enslaved individuals. The goal of the museum is to foster an anti-racist, decolonized future by offering a space for education, artistic expression, reflection, and active collaboration with the local community.
