The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, in close collaboration with the Musée national Picasso-Paris, are devoting a unique exhibition to Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) next fall. The two institutions are decrypting a theme that has never been explored before: for the very first time, Picasso's relationship with abstraction will be brought to light, through more than one hundred and forty exceptional works.
The exhibition is organised in partnership with the Musée national Picasso-Paris and is part of the project "Picasso Celebration 1973-2023": 50 exhibitions and events to celebrate Picasso.
With the support of the national lottery, the Spanish Ambassy in Belgium, Spain Arts & Culture and Instituto Cervantes.

Les Musées royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique, en partenariat avec le Musée national Picasso-Paris, ouvriront à l’automne 2022 une exposition majeure consacrée à Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). Les deux institutions décryptent un thème peu exploré auparavant : pour la toute première fois, les rapports de Picasso à l’abstraction seront mis en lumière, à travers plus de cent quarante œuvres exceptionnelles.
L'exposition est organisée en partenariat avec le Musée national Picasso-Paris et s'inscrit dans le cadre du projet "Célébration Picasso 1973-2023": 50 expositions et évènements pour célébrer Picasso.

In nauwe samenwerking met het Musée national Picasso-Paris, wijden de Koninklijke Musea voor Schone Kunsten van België komend najaar een unieke tentoonstelling aan Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). De twee instellingen ontcijferen een nooit eerder onderzocht thema: voor de allereerste keer zal Picasso’s relatie met de abstracte kunst worden belicht aan de hand van meer dan honderdveertig uitzonderlijke werken.
De tentoonstelling wordt georganiseerd in samenwerking met het Musée national Picasso-Paris en maakt deel uit van het project "Picasso Celebration 1973-2023": 50 tentoonstellingen en evenementen om Picasso te vieren.
