Following a highly acclaimed world premiere in Tokyo and the release of a praised album, Piano Fantasies – Music from Square Enix now comes to Sweden for the first time. Swiss pianist Mischa Cheung performs twelve newly arranged pieces for solo piano from some of the most beloved titles in the world of video games: Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana.Behind the project stands the legendary Japanese game developer Square Enix, creator of some of the most influential role-playing games in history, together with Merregnon Studios, the German production company renowned for its artistically crafted music projects that bring together game music, storytelling and symphonic artistry.
The result is an album and a concert experience that unite the emotional power of Square Enix’s iconic music with the intimacy and presence that only a solo piano can convey – a performance moving between nostalgia, beauty and dreamlike fantasy.
