Join us for this free concert as Dr. Sunghwan Kim and Dr. Choong-Ha Nam perform repertoire for two pianos, featuring the music of Bach, Tchaikovsky, and Rachmaninoff. Doors open at 6:00 pm. Sunghwan has served as the organist at First Baptist Church of Amarillo since the fall of 2023. He also serves as adjunct faculty at Amarillo College and Piania Conservatory of Music in South Korea. Prior to his position at FBC, Dr. Kim toured with The King’s Brass. He received his Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance from the Ohio State University and has released a solo piano project, “My Song For Your Glory,” available on all streaming platforms.
Choong-Ha serves as professor of piano at West Texas A&M University. She has performed world-wide in music festivals from Canada to China. She recently released her debut album, "Shubert Piano Sonatas," which can be found on all major streaming platforms. Dr. Nam has helped to found and co-directs the Piano Teachers Workshop at WTAMU, whose goal is to help empower independent piano teachers at home and abroad.
